BAO is the psytrance project of Nicola Filippini.
Coming from Brescia in Italy, he entered the scene 15 years ago. He started with DJ'ing and creating parties, and has since made some small festivals as well.
After some years of DJing and organizing, he created his own psytrance project called BAO and started to perform around the world.
After a while he joined Blacklite Records and grew as an artist and forged his unique sound.Now is part of Green Tree Records based in Belgium and Skizodelic Mind a collective from Spain. Also doing Psytechno for several years now playing at big festivals such ODYSSEE in Berliln ,Street Parade Zurich and WAO festival in Italy.
His music is immediately recognisable with deep bass lines and groovy rythmics, which can drive you into a powerful psychedelic journey!
Music is my passion, it's my creative space where I can express myself. It's an integral part of my life. When I make music I feel free from time and space, and just in flow with my creative energy.
It's always interesting to see where a new track will lead me.
The feeling I get when I create psytrance is a feeling of power, celebration, connection, and that is whatI love to share with my audience.
Being on stage is purely magical, because I can really feel the connection with the crowd, and their reaction to my powerful beats.
Bringing people into the present moment with my music is the biggest satisfaction. To see them dance, enjoy and express my music through their movements is truly rewarding. Life is meant to be lived and enjoyed, and I do my part in reminding people of that.

Procedente de Brescia, Italia, entró en la escena hace 15 años. Empezó como DJ y creando fiestas, y desde entonces también ha organizado algunos festivales pequeños. Después de algunos años de DJ y organizador, creó su propio proyecto de psytrance llamado BAO y comenzó a actuar por todo el mundo. Después de un tiempo, se unió a Blacklite Records y creció como artista y forjó su sonido único. Su música es inmediatamente reconocible con líneas de bajo profundas y ritmos maravillosos, que pueden llevarte a un poderoso viaje psicodélico.
La música es mi pasión, es mi espacio creativo donde puedo expresarme. Es una parte integral de mi vida. Cuando hago música, me siento libre del tiempo y el espacio, y simplemente en flujo con mi energía creativa. Siempre es interesante ver a dónde me llevará una nueva canción.
La sensación que obtengo cuando creo psytrance es una sensación de poder, celebración, conexión, y eso es lo que me encanta compartir con mi público. Estar en el escenario es puramente mágico, porque realmente puedo sentir la conexión con el público y su reacción a mis ritmos poderosos.Llevar a la gente al momento presente con mi música es la mayor satisfacción. Verlos bailar, disfrutar y expresar mi música a través de sus movimientos es realmente gratificante. La vida está hecha para vivirla y disfrutarla, y hago mi parte para recordárselo a la gente.
